It’s a pleasure to find someone who can think so clearly

America’s culture is unuiqe only in the sense that it is extremely diverse, a rope of many strands, and completely the opposite of the Hebrew Culture of the Old Testament, which was ethnically, genetically, and linguistically homogenous. If you are implicitly suggesting that immigration somehow is a threat to American culture (and you may not be, but the cultural reference and the idea of preservation made me think you were thinking about it), I would say that immigration is at the core of American culture and will continue to be so. Whether you were going there or not, there are a lot of strange people out there who try to frame immigration discussions in terms of protecting our culture , as if we were Estonians or something. I do find in the Bible (or at least parts of it) Good News about redemption. I was reacting to the teaser headline that suggested that there might be something in the article that guides us on the formation of immigration policy. There isn’t.

It’s hard to bet against Tiger, but he was mssiing quite a few short putts on the practice green yesterday. If that keeps happening, it’s going to be tough for him to pull it out. I think Rory is going to come on strong and give it a run, and I’ll always pull for Bubba.

The Berkshire Youth Guitar Orchestra would really beenfit if I were to win the a3200 that Viking (thank you for continuing to support Easyfundraising) are kindly donating as it would not only help with their travelling but more importantly future players. They are dedicated group of young men and women, who have worked hard to reach the very high standard that is the Berkshire Youth Guitar Orchestra.Gill
